Dr. Yuhki Sato (born in Hokkaido, Japan, in Dec. 1978) received his B.S. and M.S. in pharmacology from Kumamoto University, Japan, in 2000 and 2002, respectively. Since 2002, he has been a pharmacist at Oita University Hospital, Japan. In 2014, he was appointed as the hospital’s deputy director. He received a Ph.D. in pharmacology from Kumamoto University, Japan, in 2008. His research interests include peptide science, Kampo medicine, and clinical pharmacology. He has received academic awards as a first author, including the incentive award given by the Medical and Pharmaceutical Society for WAKAN-YAKU. He has developed a very high–sensitivity enzyme immunoassay for bioactive peptides in human body fluids. Using this assay, he has determined an association between these bioactive peptides and various diseases and clinical conditions.
