Biographies Speakers


Miranda Sertic graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry University of Zagreb in 2006 and obtained her PhD in 2013 in Pharmaceutical analysis. In 2016 she was elected Assistant Professor at the Department of Analytics and Control of Medicines at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Zagreb. She published 14 scientific papers in leading international journals, 30 professional papers, participated in many national and international congresses with more than 60 scientific abstracts and gave several invited lectures and over 30 scientific and professional talks. She has been a member of the scientific and organizing committees of several national conferences. Dr. Miranda Sertic works as a lecture at graduate and postgraduate studies on graduate courses Pharmaceutical Analysis and Analytics in Pharmaceutical Product Development. She also teaches at postgraduate specialist studies courses Quality Control of Pharmaceuticals and Analytical Procedures for Identification of Counterfeit Pharmaceutical Products. She co-authored two textbooks, mentored 14 diploma theses and co-mentored nine more. She has been a member of the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society since 2006, and board member since 2014. She served on the ExCo of the Young Pharmacist Group since 2008, and is acting President since 2014, where she organizes lectures as part of continuous education of pharmacists in Croatia and numerous public health campaigns. She is member of the Editorial board of the Croatian national professional journal. Since 2007 she has been a member of Croatian Chamber of Pharmacist. Dr. Miranda Sertic has been elected member of the General Assembly in 2015 and also serves on The Committee for ethical issues and on the Committee for the improvement of pharmacy practice. Miranda Sertic was elected Chairperson of the Young Pharmacist Group of FIP for 2016/2017.
